VOCALIST. ACTRESS. TEACHER.
MY STORY
Mary Kate, commonly referred to as MK, hails from the birthplace of American music: Mississippi. She earned her BFA in Musical Theatre at the esteemed Belmont University, and while a student, made her debut television appearance in the nationally broadcast PBS special “Christmas At Belmont.” Ever since, she has been performing nationally and internationally as a Pop/Jazz front woman and a prominently featured Musical Theatre actress. Her most celebrated work is her one-woman show, Natural Woman: A Tribute to Carole King, in which - at the age of 23 - she developed, produced, and headlined a self-accompanied concert.
In December of 2019, Mary Kate released her first EP, a collection of Christmas songs entitled, “Merry Christmas, Darling.” During the Christmas season, you can hear her at the American Music Theater in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. She is currently performing with notable bands such as Big Boy Brass, The Uptown Band, and Temple Avenue Jazz Ensemble.
